Arrive Kefalonia, drive north

An hour north from the airport, stopping at the Myrtos viewpoint along the way.
Day 2
The Myrtos coast road and Assos

A slow morning on the cliff road, a walk up to the Assos fortress ruins, dinner back in Fiskardo.
Day 3
Move to Assos

A twenty-minute transfer; the afternoon free for swimming off the pebble beach beneath the village.
Day 4
Mount Ainos and the interior

A half-day in the fir forest of Mount Ainos, with views across to Ithaca on a clear day.

Cross to Ithaca

A local ferry from Fiskardo or Sami, one to two hours depending on the route.
